History

Since 1992, Chez Daniel has offered elegant French cuisine in a delightful, yet unpretentious, atmosphere. Chez Daniel provides a genuine

French dining experience without affectation.

An independently owned and managed restaurant, Chez Daniel flourishes under the leadership of Executive Chef Pierre Jean Laupies, whose distinguished culinary background sets him apart as one of the most extraordinary chefs of his time.

The restaurant is named for Pierre Jean’s good friend and business partner, Daniel Hubert. The two met in 1971 and together envisioned an authentic European dining experience devoid of the stereotypical snobbery.

Later, with the involvement of TriCity Management, the men were able to translate their vision into the creation of a classic Bistro famous for its offering of French and American cuisine. Welcome to Chez Daniel!

TriCity Management is a hard-working, independent company that was established in 1982. It encompasses Woolley’s Steakhouse and Chez Daniel in Bloomington and Cork’s Irish Pub in St. Paul. Though the flavor and personality of each restaurant is diverse, the same principles of quality and service reside throughout, as each and every one of the five owners of TriCity Management have a strong background in the food and beverage industry.
